One Conscious Breath

Here’s a fun mini meditation you can complete in a single breath cycle.

Using a straw helps focus your attention and naturally lengthens your outbreath. This signals your nervous system to switch out of the “fight or flight” stress response and into the parasympathetic “rest and digest” mode.

I like to use a bamboo “eco” straw like the one in the video, but any straw will do. If the aperture is too wide you can tape the end until you get an airflow that slows your breath comfortably.

Can meditation really be this easy? Sure can.
